How to feel warm when it is freezing? That is the question.
Today, I am sharing my favorite look for winter. Would you believe that this dark blue beanie is made of upcycled cashmere? It is by ethical Swiss brand Tallis – I have several pieces from her last year collection. Their beanies, sweaters, and berets are elegant, chic, and sustainable. The bag is by the Swiss brand Noleti. All their bags are handmade in Switzerland.
My coat is made of 100% wool and from Mango. I bought it several years ago and although it is not sustainably sourced wool, I wear it because I already have it in the closet. As I mentioned a few times, the most sustainable approach to your wardrobe is to wear what you already have and take care of your clothes well.
This is in fact my main tip today: If you want to feel warm when it is freezing outside, wear woolen coats. I found some sustainably sourced wool coats on big online platforms such as Nordstrom and Zalando.
But if you truly want to be sustainable, look for a pre-loved coat in your local charity or resale shop. By making this choice, you will save clothes from the landfill and save money. Here is a list of my favorite stores that sell pre-loved clothes in Geneva. But if you don’t live in Switzerland, have look at a second-hand in your area.
