A quick look back at Paléo Festival Nyon 2023. Every year seems better than the previous one and this one was no different. I especially liked the techno and dance music Belleville scene. Although it was introduced a year ago it already gained faithful following. Last year was good but this year’s selection of DJs was amazing. It was the first time we stayed till 2:30AM (and went to work that same day) but it was totally worth it.
My other favorite part of Paléo Festival 2023 was La Ruche. The place full of street artists and acrobats. It offers a surprising and unexpected experience and it is a perfect place for children. Unlike the rest of the Festival here they can sit down and relax. Seeing your child entertained for more than an hour is always worth it.
And as we talk about children, if yours are under eight, take them to La Luciole. It is a daycare ran by an experienced volunteers that offers fun and entertainment for children. Chloe-Sofia had so much fun that she didn’t want to leave.
Besides Bellevile DJs and La Ruche, we really liked the concerts at the Véga stage: performance of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, concert of Jain, and Franz Ferdinand. As I mentioned on my social media, I was a bit dissapointed by the Black Eyed Peas peformance. Unlike the less known bands, they didn’t make any special effort. And as a group, they didn’t feel synchronized. Overall, the performance was good but not exceptional.
As last year, Festival continues to implement sustainable initiatives like reusable plates, cups and cutlery. You could also bring your own reusable bottle and refill in a water fountain which was super cool.
And so that I don’t forget – thi year’s fireworks were better than ever. Simply amazing. I can’t wait to see what the 2024 edition of Paléo Festival will bring. It will take place from 23 July 2024 to 28 July 2024 so don’t forget to get your tickets on time.
I hope to see you there.
