Make Christmas Presents For Your Loved Ones in 2021

If you are getting ready for Christmas and wonder how to make Christmas presents for your loved ones this year, you are at the right place. DIY Christmas presents are a wonderful idea if you want to give something unique, original and save some cash along the way. So which affordable presents can you make?

1. DO-IT-YOURSELF CHRISTMAS STAR

It is very easy and all you need are some paper lunch bags, glue, and scissors. Wondering how to make it?

Watch my video tutorial to learn how to make a beautiful Christmas star from lunch bags.

You can hang it between the windows or on your entrance door.

You can also make Christmas paper garland for the tree. Click HERE to see the easy steps.

2. DRIED CITRUS ORNAMENTS

1. Start by preheating the oven to 250°F. Cut oranges crosswise into 1/4-inch slices (four oranges make a six-foot garland).

3. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Pat orange slices dry with paper towels and place them on cookie sheets in a single layer.

4. Bake for approximately 3 hours or until dry. (To ensure the slices dry flat, turn them over at the midway mark.) Remove from oven. Using a skewer or nail, poke two holes into the top of each orange slice.

6. Thread twine through each hole, evenly spacing the oranges on the garland. Tie off each end with a loop, and hang from hooks. (source: countryliving.com)

3. HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Pack homemade Christmas cookies in a small glass jar.

This will make an original and sweet Christmas present that everyone will appreciate.

This year, I will try these Ultimate Chocolate Chips Cookies that are vegetarian and vegan-friendly.

4. SALT DOUGH CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

Why not make salt dough decorations for the Christmas tree, a Christmas wreath, or a table centerpiece.

HOW TO MAKE SALT DOUGH

Mix 2 cups of white flour, 3/4 cup of warm water, and 1 cup of salt.

Mix well. Roll out the dough and cut out the decorations.

You can either air-dry your decorations or bake them at 150 Degree Celsius for 30 minutes in an oven.

5. HAND PAINTED WINE GLASSES

Use paint suitable for glass (you will find it in the arts&crafts store).

My sister made a set of hand-painted wine glasses for us years ago and we are still using them.

Alternatively, you can also personalize old glass jars. Mark them « rice », « sugar », « oats », « nuts », etc.

I especially like this recipe from Deliciously Ella which seems simple and yummy. Just have a look!
