Today, I would like to share a few tips on how to celebrate Halloween in 2021.

1. Carve a jack-o-lantern pumpkin
Carving pumpkins is relatively easy and will get you busy for at least half a day.
If it is your first time, check Pinterest for inspiration and tutorials on YouTube. It is one of the autumn activities that Chloe-Sofia adores (besides making animals from chestnuts).
You can also watch my video tutorial, where I share some tips on celebrating Halloween mindfully.
2. Watch a scary movie
My favorite is not Halloween but Scream. A few weeks ago, I watched There is Someone In Your House, a relatively good teenage slasher. It is not something extraordinarily logical and intelligent, but it is entertaining and not supernatural scary. So you will be able to sleep at night (not like The Ring). Which scary movie is your favorite?

3. Bake some cookies
Instead of giving the trick and treaters some cheap candy, bake your cookies. If you have the time, of course. Here are some recipes that I may try this year:
- these Halloween-worthy macaroon ideas from Goop;
- you can also celebrate Halloween in 2021 with these adorable Mummy Pops;
- these scary Halloween Cookies which seem so easy to make;
- or these spooky Oreo Spider Webs.
4. Relax
Get and give back a relaxing massage. Are you staying at home with your partner and have no plans for 31 October? Give each other a back massage. I suggest using Lavender or Ylang Ylang essential oil as it has calming and relaxing properties.
Alternatively, you can invite friends to your house for a tarot card reading, coloring mandalas, or a painting evening.

5. La Calavera Catrina Makeup
If you are planning to attend a Halloween-inspired party, get inspired by my video tutorial for La Calavera Catrina. It is easier to do than you would believe.
You can find a lot of tutorials for Halloween-appropriate makeup on Pinterest or YouTube.
