Welcome back to the second part of last week’s post: How to Choose the Right Natural Beauty Products. As mentioned last week, taking targeted and customized care of your skin externally is only a part of the whole “beauty care regime.” In this post, we will talk about how your lifestyle and mindset impact the way you look. Simply, how to be beautiful inside and on the outside.

YOUR LIFESTYLE
As you know, following a healthy, varied diet, drinking enough water, and exercising regularly reflects on our looks. But after a certain age, it also helps to take vitamin, mineral, and collagen supplements. I recommend talking to your family doctor and undergo a thorough blood test at least once a year. It helped me to realize that I was constantly tired due to thyroid and iron deficiency. And last year, my doctor discovered that my Vitamin D levels were so low, I had to start supplementing it once a week.
COLLAGEN SUPPLEMENTS
A few months ago, I started taking a collagen supplement from the Swiss brand Formettā to see if it would make a difference. And to my surprise, my skin looks and feels healthier, softer, and plumper.
Unlike other collagen supplements on the market, this one is free of fillers, synthetics, preservatives, GMOs, gluten, lactose, soy, and sugar. It contains high-quality, German-produced collagen peptides from bovine hide and complementary ingredients( antioxidants, MSM, Vitamin C, and mineral powders, to name a few).
Before I started taking collagen supplements, I took Borage and Evening Primerose oil supplements. I had less intense period pains, less acne, and softer skin.
YOUR MINDSET
The older I get, the more I see how much difference a smile makes to the faces of people. Those who like to smile look younger and happier, their facial expressions are relaxed and welcoming.
Do you think that our faces reflect the way we think?
I recommend that you find a way to relax every day. Whether it is through a solitary walk in nature, reading a book, meditation, or prayer, whatever helps you stay calm and grateful for what you have, is great. Find a reason to smile and not take work and challenging situations & people seriously.
Learn to take a helicopter view. Will things that bother you today matter in twenty years? Most things that we worry about now do not matter in the grand scheme of things.
