In today’s video, I will share with you environmentally friendly alternatives to single-use water bottles and disposable straws.
Zero Waste, #NOPLASTIC, low waste, sustainable and ethical lifestyle, etc., are all terms that have become popular lately. Our family tries to lower our plastic imprint and live as consciously as possible. Thus I decided to feature this part of our life on this website, and my vides as well. Zero Waste tips will be a series and I hope you will find it interesting.
I feel like once I do something regularly, I tend to think that everyone does and thinks the same. I realized it the other day when I talked a friend who does not think about the amount of plastic we bring to our home, use (pre-made food packaged in plastic containers, single-use plastic bottles, etc.).
And to avoid sounding patronizing, I created several short videos to show how we changed our lifestyle. Since I know that your time is precious, I limited each video to a maximum of three minutes.
My goal is to leave something for our children. We can all stick our heads in the sand, ignore the facts, and pray for the better. “The world is coming to an end anyway,” one of our friends said. We can believe that climate change is a myth created by media and ecologic anarchists. Or, we can start making changes in our own lives every day.
It took us one and a half year to change the way we purchase food, clothes, and beauty products. We use to fill a 30L bag with plastic every week. Now, it takes us 6-8 weeks. It is an ongoing journey, we still have a long way to go, but the results are enormous.
