Last week Club Med opened its newest resort in French Alps Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon. It is located mere 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from Geneva. And it was designed for both summer and winter holidays. Situated at 1,600 meters altitude it offers an exceptional 360° panorama across the Samoëns-Morillon valley.
The resort has 423 rooms and offers a ski-in, ski-out experience. Thanks to the Easy Arrival service, you have the possibility to reserve ski equipment before departure. Upon your arrival, you receive your ski pass and find your skis and boots in your personal heated ski locker. You may also register for ski lessons or book children into the Kid’s Club online.
Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon has clubs and activities for kids aged from four months to 17 years old. To make life even simpler for parents, the Resort has two ski rooms for children with direct access to the Mini Club and the slopes.
The main restaurant has four dining areas and generous buffet bars explore cuisine from around the world and a Healthy Corner featuring steamed items, gluten-free dishes and products and freshly prepared vegetables. “Le Skyline” Gourmet Lounge with a panoramic terrace offers an all-day dining. We tried the “Discovery” dinner created by French chef Edouard Loubet, with two Michelin Stars and five Gault & Millau Toques. It was delicious and the wines were amazing as well.
The wellness offers stunning mountain views houses Carita Spa, a very well-equipped fitness area, two swimming pools and other facilities.
What I like about this Club Med resort is that it is perfect for families, groups of friends as well as couples. It is spacious and modern and each G.O. (“gentil organisateur”) is eager to help and advise on whatever you need. I think it is a perfect place for family holidays and can’t wait to go back with Chloe-Sofia and Alex for well-deserved family holiday.
