Say Goodbye To A Loved One With Separate Ways

CATEGORY: VIDEOS

Cette interview est en anglais et en français

I still miss those I loved who are no longer with me but I find I am grateful for having loved them. The gratitude has finally conquered the loss. (Rita Mae Brown)

Today Currently Wearing Presents Géraldine Juge. Géraldine is a founder of Separate Ways, a company that offers organizational support for a peaceful and respectful funeral and events of commemoration.

When I told my friends about Separate Ways many of them were surprised. The last thing that many of us want to think about is death, funeral or even making a will. But it is a part of life. And I think that Géraldine is incredibly compassionate and empathic. I hope you will enjoy our conversation.

    Dear Mi,
Thanks for sharing and trust me whether in a so called ‘western world’ or ‘ southern world’ experiencing the death of a loved one is so so difficult. There is nothing about ‘celebrating’ a life. It is a pain that no one can explain; a lightning that cuts through your guts that is never a ‘ one size fits it all’ solution. I appreciate the concept of Separate Ways because indeed that helping hand goes a long, long way!!! That hand extended in time of need makes the whole world of a difference. Mo!

I completely agree with you, Tina. Have a wonderful weekend, dear.

  • This is such a beautiful service that Geraldine is offering. So many people really don’t know what to do when a loved one is lost. Being a military wife, I am faced with having to talk about and deal with the possibility every time my husband leaves the country. So for me, these topics have become part of life and I am as comfortable as one can be discussing it. But this is not true for many people. Thank you for sharing this story. I am sure it be so helpful to many.

Oh, Shelbee, I admire you. You must be so strong. I would be always stressed and afraid that my husband would not come back.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, sweetie. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs
