Welcome to Sentence a Day, my July diary. I really like this idea to keep track of what I did every day. And in one sentence only which I can’t manage to achieve. One sentence is too short to describe a day. When I go back to beginning of the month, I am always amazed how much I managed to do. It is great to know as most of the times I feel like I don’t manage to do as much as I wanted.
P.S. In today’s article I skipped those days that I spent at work.
1 July, Saturday: Friends came over for dinner and Alex made an amazing Saltimbocca alla Romana.
2 July, Sunday: Relaxing day at home, we went for a walk, had a coffee and cake in neighboring village. We also had a great chat together(Alex and I). I like that we can discuss so much together. It is essential to be able to share things also intellectually when you are married.
6 July, Thursday: Alex was not well and had to see a doctor. I had to leave the office earlier to take Chloe-Sofia to her first end-of-the year party at her daycare. Here is her party makeup:
7 July, Friday: Alex was feeling worse; he had a fever and was in a lot of pain. He could not even get out of the bed. 🙁
8-9 July: Weekend at home. I asked Surekha to come over to take photos as Alex was not well. We took photos with Chloe-Sofia and my new DIY project- pompom heels.
14 July, Friday: Trip to Lausanne with Chloe-Sofia. Blog-related meeting with a PR Agency that I work with. Chloe-Sofia was bothering people on the train and had so much fun. Luckily, people did not mind.
15 July, Saturday: Our friend’s father celebrated his 60th birthday in a lovely Chinese restaurant. Chloe-Sofia loved their Chinese noodles.
16 July, Sunday: Brunch in Hotel de La Paix with our friends from Lugano (Swiss-Italian part of Switzerland). They came to Geneva for the weekend and stayed at our place.
17 July, Monday: Chloe-Sofia caught Hand-foot-and-mouth disease and had to stay at home for a week. My mother-in-law came over and took care of her as Alex and I had to go to work.
20 July, Thursday: Chloe-Sofia was doing well so we could go to Paléo Festival Nyon!
21 July, Friday: I interviewed Jalen N’Gonda.
22 July, Saturday: It was raining most of the afternoon but that is the thing about Paléo, even if you are wet and cold, you are still having a great time thanks to the energy and people around you.
23 July, Sunday: We went to Gstaad in the morning to watch the finals of Women’s tennis tournament The Ladies Championship Gstaad.
We were invited by Noleti, Swiss family-run business. They make beautiful handbags, small leather goods and accessories.
After the finals and sumptuous lunch, we drove back to the music festival. It was the last day and we wanted to see Manu Chao. But I did not feel well in the evening so we had to leave the festival before his show started. 🙁
28-30 July, Friday-Sunday: Chloe-Sofia is back to 100%. We took her to Prague so that she could spend the next two weeks at my parents’. She immediately fell in love with their garden, cats (who, on the other hand, are not very fond of children :-)) and their pool. We can see that she has much more fun than at home.
31 July, Monday: Shooting with Surekha early in the morning. Consultation and makeup session with Animata at Bobbi Brown later that day. I had so much fun.I hope you enjoyed reading through my July diary. You can see below what other ladies, who did Sentence A Day, were up to. And if you wan to join us in August, let me know.
