Cet article n’est qu’en anglais
Since I had Chloe-Sofia, I often question the appropriateness of certain clothes. Like these jeans with a distressed hem and ruffle crop top. I love ruffle tops but this one in particular shows off my belly and my birthmark. I am not even going to mention “linea negra”, a dark vertical line that appears on a belly of pregnant women. It is supposed to disappear after you give birth but mine decided otherwise. I was not sure if I could wear this crop top but decided to give it a try. And once I put it on, I could not get enough of it.
Do you also have distorted image of yourself? I always think that I am bigger than I really am, entertain negative thoughts about my body and struggle with self-love. There is an amazing podcast about body image detox that will make you see your body differently. So in the new month, I intend to concentrate only on the positives. I will cherish my body for being able to create life and remain healthy. And first of all, I will give myself a break.
Apologies if this article was not as light and fun as you might have expected. I feel that I really need to start talking about more personal “stuff” and motherhood more often. That being said, next week, we will start a new “column”. Alex, who is such a kind, polite, caring and generous person, decided to share his thoughts as well. From taking photos and translating articles to French, he takes on a new role as a contributor.
