Dior We should all be feminists t-shitVersion française ci-dessous

I love Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s books. Besides being funny, beautiful and smart, Ms. Adichie’s work will make you laugh and cry when you expect it the least. Half of a Yellow Sun made me weep like a baby when I got to the end while The Americanah feels so bitter sweet and personal that I have been reading in bits and pieces for several months. Isn’t it funny how certain books can touch something deep inside and make us ponder our own existence? My current plan is to finish The Americanah by the end of summer to start reading Shattered (analysis of what went wrong during Hillary Clinton’s campaign). It had great reviews in The New York Times and sounds like a good read for summer.

DIY slogan t-shirt/currently wearingNow, some of you may be asking what does Ms. Adichie have to do with Dior’s slogan t-shirt of the moment? Everything, as We Should All Be Feminists is a name of one of her books. But as I am not willing to pay $700 for a t-shirt, I decided to make my own for less than $20.Slogan t-shirt DIY/ currently wearing

It’s so interesting that a lot of RTW is making a political statement. Fashion is often reflective of world events, and at the currently I think that there is a lot to be worried about in regards to international politics.

I love how you created your own version of the Dior T-shirt. I think you did such a wonderful job! It looks so neat.

I have never read any of those books you mentioned, but I really must get onto it. Thanks for the review

I love that Dior shirt but I’m not willing to cash out a lot of money for just a white shirt, so this is a great DIY because I only like it because of the message written on the shirt 🙂
