What is your relationship to chokers? Unless you spent last couple of years under the rock, you had to notice them. They are big and they are everywhere. Do you like them? Hate them? Do you wear them? Was it Kim K. who managed to take them out of BDSM context or the popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey? What do you reckon? Isn’t it fascinating that they are no longer seen as cheap or vulgar? Everyone loves them and everyone wears them to such an extent that they became ubiquitous.

Nevertheless, I like to wear chokers. As long as you keep your look simple, chokers can add an edge to otherwise boring outfit. They are like fishnet stockings. You have to know how little is too little and how much is too much. It is all about taste and balance. I actually like how “normal” they became. Nobody raises an eyebrow when you wear them with your regular blue jeans and white t-shirt.

Which one of the chokers that I am wearing do you prefer? The Gold Chain Choker is edgier and I like to wear it during the weekend. The Half Moon Horn Velvet Choker, on the other hand, is perfect for the week. It looks perfect with a simple black turtleneck and cigarette pants.

I got these two chokers from the Happiness Boutique and if you like them, check out their online boutique. Right now they offer a 10% discount for orders over 19 euros valid from February 20th until March 20th. Just insert a discount code currentlywearing at the checkout.  Did I mention that the shipping is for free and they have an enticing customer reward program? That makes shopping even more enjoyable, doesn’t it?
