If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you have probably noticed that I was in Paris at the end of November. I took part in e-Fluent 5 Spot, an event for mom and dad bloggers organized by a French magazine for parents Parole de Mamans at Carreau du Temple. It was the first time that they invited over 100 international bloggers.
I met moms and dads not only from Europe but also from Israel, Jordan and Russia. It was enriching to hear about their parenting experience and to learn how they combine work, family, kids and blogging. It was a totally different crowd to fashion bloggers and I enjoyed those honest, true and authentic moments and conversations.
One evening we ended up chatting until late at night with a Portuguese mom blogger Patrícia who touched me the most. It was a very special to conversation about motherhood, being a single mother, having everything and loosing it all and rising like a phoenix from the ashes.
Besides meeting other bloggers, we got the chance to get to know prestigious brands that operate in the world of family, childcare and pregnancy such as Evian, Mustella, Munchkin, BabyZen, BabyBjorn, Difrax, Dyson, Blédina and many more. The event was full of various activities, talks and shows for both parents and kids.
Besides meeting representatives of the brands, we could participate in various workshop organized by them:
“DIY bottle full of kind words”: this workshop was organized by Evian. You can find step by step instructions here (only in French).“Food-Art by Bonduelle” was taught by a food blogger Christine from Cubes & Petits Pois. We could choose between two topics- what is in my closet and a flower. While I was most enthusiastic about creating something connected to fashion, the rest of the group voted for a flower. Hence my minimalist creation below. The aim of this session was to find creative ways to teach kids to eat vegetables.
I spent most of those 3 days with mom bloggers from Luxembourg. Anouk runs a family and travel blog called LetzFlyAway and Dominique (Kids Agenda) advises families on what to do with kids in Luxembourg.
I was impressed by the smooth and efficient organization of the whole event- we were picked up by a driver at the airport, accommodated in Saint James Albany hotel located in front of Jardin des Tuileries and had a gala dinner on Seine River.
Thank you for having me!
