Winter… What comes to your mind? Skiing and ice-skating? Eating fondue and drinking mulled wine? Cinnamon flavored candles? Christmas? I am sure, each of us makes different associations with this world.
I, for example, associate winter with cold and snow. But the first rule of surviving harsh winters that we experience in Czech Republic and Switzerland, is to stay warm. When temperature drops, forget about keeping it stylish in ballerinas without socks. You have to keep your feet warm and dry. Like it or not, you have to own a pair of boots.
I got my first Sorel boots few years ago. They are comfortable, stylish and easy to wear both on slopes and aprés ski. So when I got the chance to try the new Out n About Chelsea Duck boot, I could not say no. It is made of full-grain leather and hand-crafted vulcanized rubber. The boots are fully waterproof and light which makes them perfect for rainy weather. You will not slip in them when you walk around the city thanks to their herringbone sole.
As it fits just above the ankle, I wanted to style it as an ankle boot. And because the boots are simple and elegant, I knew they would look great with little black dress. I added a wool cape to make the look more bohemian and off to vineyards we went.
It is the perfect city boot for cold, rainy weather that will take you through autumn in style!
