HOW DID WE GET TO HOSPITAL ON A RAINY SUNDAY MORNING?

Hello everyone!

We spent this morning in hospital because Chloe-Sofia was not well. She was sick last week but last night it got worse. She was crying most of the night and coughing a lot. At first, we did not want to go to hospital and look like hysterical new parents. But after hearing her coughing last night, we packed her and went to hospital for children. It is the same Clinique where I gave birth and to tell you, I am very grateful that we have such a great health insurance that we can go there.

If we had gone to a public hospital, we would have to wait for several hours because her state was not “urgent”. Here we were admitted almost immediately. I also liked that the Clinique does not have the typical hospital smell. There was a huge aquarium in the middle of the entrance hall and the staff was so warm and friendly. I think Chloe-Sofia felt very safe because she did not cry at all. Luckily, it is nothing serious. They told us, that we should dress her much less when she has a fever. In fact, she should be only in diaper otherwise the temperature won’t go down. They also showed us the proper way of cleaning her stuck nose. I can’t believe that she is 4-month-old and even our Pediatrician did not think of showing us how to do it properly. But that is parenting- you learn from your mistakes.

The good thing is that Chloe-Sofia has a little cold and nothing more. We have to keep giving her Tylenol and a herbal tea to treat the cough. You can imagine how relieved Alex and I are.

Today’s pics were taken in Versoix several weeks ago. Surekha and I had a coffee in my favorite coffee place and took these photos just around the corner.hospital for children_currently wearing hospital for children_currently wearing hospital for children_currently wearing hospital for children_currently wearing RBC Arts & Crafts bag/ hospital for children/currently wearing
