What are my pregnancy must-haves?

  1. Stretch marks prevention: I use Sweet Almond Oil from Melvita. It is a French brand that offers organic and ethical cosmetics of the highest quality. I use several of their skin care products such as the Gentle Cleansing Jelly and Field Cornflower Toning Water.  I use the oil in the evening because it leaves marks on clothes. In the morning, I use a light cream against stretch marks from another French brand called Mustela. It is Paraben-, phthalate-, and phenoxyethanol-free, which makes it very safe to use during pregnancy.
  2. Red Castle Big Flopsy maternity cushion– definitely a must-have. It is super practical and multifunctional. You can rest your sore legs on it, sleep on it or use it instead of a pillow.
  3. Books: What to Expect When You Are Expecting is a classic. I got it from one of my girlfriend as a present. She also gave me Pregnancy Day by Day book which is also very good. This weekend, I borrowed another book called Gentle Birth Method that advocates holistic approach to pregnancy and birth. It is based on ayurvedic teaching and forbids eating wheat, refined carbs and sugar, certain fruits, vegetables, pork and red meat.  I like the idea but I am not sure if I succeed to cut wheat out of my diet as I really crave whole wheat bread every day.

I hope that you will find my short list of pregnancy must-haves helpful. And if there is something that you could not live without when you were pregnant, please, let me know. I would like to get as much tips and ideas from you as you are willing to share.

Thank you for reading and have a great week!

That pregnancy pillow will become your beat friend! I couldn’t sleep comfortably without mine. I also kept a day by day pregnancy journal. Its made by the same company as the What To Expect book. Sometimes I would wear a belly band if my skin started feeling really stretched. It helped ease that sensation. Also, bigger bras! Haha.
