HOMEMADE BLUEBERRY FACIAL MASK

CATEGORY: BEAUTY

Happy Friday, lovelies! Today, I would like to share with you one of my favorite homemade facial masks. It is great for a tired, dull skin. I use it after a long day in the office or after a night out. It is very easy and fast to prepare. Here we go:

 Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of blueberries.
  • 1 tablespoon of natural yoghurt (I used lactose-free as I am lactose-intolerant and this was the only one we had at home).
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (bio, homemade from my aunt).
  • a zest of lemon (I used bio one).

Mash all ingredients into a smooth paste and let it sit for few minutes- it will thicken up.

Meanwhile, gently scrub your face with a peeling. I use once a week The Swiss Power Peeling from B Sand (Swiss company) which has glycolic-fruit-acids and micropearls. It is so good that even my husband likes to use it (p.s. for my Swiss readers- you can get it in Douglas).

Gently apply the blueberry facial mask on your face. The best option is to lay down and ask someone to apply it for you as it has a tendency to slide down the face. Let it sit for 10 -15 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.

I don’t wear any cream or make-up on the last picture. I just put on an Aloe Vera hydrating lotion from BioLand. I use it every morning as a base under my day cream and in the evening before I go to bed. I have been using it for a year now and it completely changed my complexion- it is hydrated, moist and soft. I have this extract from Aloe Vera brought all the way from Costa Rica but I am sure you can find similar products in stores with bio and natural cosmetics.
