Last Sunday we visited a special event- the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polo Masters 2014.
It was a new experience for me as I had never seen a polo match before. I expected it to be a posh event but I was pleasantly surprised by the organization and friendly atmosphere. There was a carousel and other attractions for kids, several food stands- raclette (so Swiss!), a juice bar, an ice-cream stand and my favorite one- with empanadas (I adore the spinach ones).
The whole match was quite impressive. It was captivating to watch the ease and elegance with which the players moved on the field. I think that 90% of the game is “made” by the horses. They are such beautiful beings. If you love horses, you would love polo too.
I enjoyed the game so much that I can´t wait to see the winter polo tournament in St. Moritz. It is on snow so it will be an unforgettable experience.
