Good morning, everyone!
Last weekend we did some sightseeing in the region of Lake Geneva. One of the sites that we visited was the Chillon Castle. It is a medieval fortress on the bank of Lake Geneva located just outside Montreaux. It is practically on the opposite site of the lake from Geneva.
I must admit that it was the first time that I visited the castle and I felt in love with its understated beauty. The views over the lake from the Watch Tower are simply amazing. I found out later that it is one of the most visited historic sites in Switzerland which was confirmed by the consistent flow of visitors. So if you are planning to visit the French part of Switzerland sometime soon, I deeply recommend stopping by.
I hope you will enjoy the photos that we took inside the castle and in its courtyards. Have a great weekend and see you back on Monday!
