Happy Valentine’s Day, dear friends!

Isn’t this pink floral dress the best you can wear today? It is pink, cute and sweet like a macaroon. Now, when I think about it, strawberry and pistachio macaroons would look rather lovely with this pink floral dress, wouldn’t it?

But the main question remains: do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Do you think that it is even relevant in current society? Does it seem too commercial to even care?

I did not like Valentine’s Day until I met Alex. I was always in relationship with someone who did not want to celebrate it and consequently, I did not want either.  But when you meet your “The One”, it seems only natural and romantic to celebrate your relationship. We may not have any special plans for tonight but just the fact of being together and spending time with one another means a lot.

Have you seen the latest Porter Magazine? There is an interview with Sheryl Sandberg (COO of Facebook) in which she talks about resilience and dealing with the loss of her husband. Such stories bring me back to what really counts- relationships. SO today, don’t forget to count you blessings and express gratitude for all that is good in your life. Valentine’s Day is an opportunity to express love, respect and appreciation not only to our partners but to everyone who we hold dear.

OUTFIT:

Chi Chi London pink floral dress, Wolford tights, Furla Mini Metropolis (this one from Coccinelle is a great alternative) and Topshop heels.
