At first I found it quite challenging to find an evening maternity dress that I could wear to our New Year’s party and later this month to our friend’s wedding. I like shopping in department stores, but since I got pregnant, I found that the offer is very limited. At least in Geneva. You either go to H&M or look online. I found a lot of evening maternity dresses in the U.S. but it would take too long to arrive to Switzerland, especially before Christmas. In the end I got this one through Zalando and I am really happy with the fit. It is loose on the belly so I will be able to wear it even later when my baby bump gets bigger.

I decided to accessories the dress with my favorite headphones from Ankit. I like to wear when I am strolling through the city. I usually listen to my favorite songs on Youtube  and lately, I can’t get enough of Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young. It is a song from Streets of Fire, a rock&roll fable from the 80’s that I watched during Christmas break. It was the first time that I saw this movie because according to my standards anything before 1990 is really old. But it is a movie that Alex likes and I wanted to see what my generations was missing. You know, it is really interesting to see how your taste in movies can differ when you come from a different generation and culture than your partner. In the end, I liked the movie so much that I can’t get the theme song out of my head. Just try to listen to it till the end and you will understand.

Thank you for reading and a happy first week of 2016!
