Honestly, I am not the best person to write about a bakery as I am quite aware and careful with eating baked products. I was recently diagnosed with lactose intolerance and knowing, that cakes, breads and other baked goods contain milk, I do my best to avoid any of these. I don’t struggle with bread and classic Czech cakes- they are super heavy and I never liked them per se. But what I really fight with are my chocolate cravings- I love mousse au chocolat, moelleux au chocolat and little chocolate feuilletine cakes. I think it comes with living in Switzerland because I fell in love with chocolate when I started living here.

When we were in Prague last week, we visited the famous  bakery called The Bakeshop in the Old City. It was just around the corner from our hotel so it was beyond practical for late breakfasts. Their cakes and baked goods were simply amazing! I mean, they looked amazing. I could not taste any of them because I ran out of my lactose enzyme pills and the Czech pharmacies don’t carry them. So I decided not to be selfish and take some photos so that I could share them with you.

 Happy weekend!
