Petrin hill

During our stay in Prague we took photos everywhere we went. Most of them where from the Petrin Hill. It is famous for its mirror maze, rose garden and sculptures of famous Czech poets.

There is a observation tower on the top of the hill that resembles the Eiffel Tower. It offers beautiful views of Prague and the Prague Castle which is just a stone´s through away.

We had a generous brunch in one of my favorites Prague cafés called Cafe Savoy. I took some photos of their cakes to share with you. They are to die for. The place itself  is beyond beautiful, dominated with a listed Neo-Renaissance ceiling and crystal chandeliers. I always stop by to admire its beauty even if it is only for a coffee. What I appreciate the most is the service and kind attitude of that is so rare in Prague´s tourist areas.

We decided to ditch the funicular and walk up the Petrin Hill towards the statue of Karel Hynek Macha, a famous Czech romantic poet. On 1st of May lovers kiss in front of his statue to celebrate the Czech “Day of Love”.

We took so many photos that I decided to divide them into several posts. I hope you will enjoy the first part of our Prague diary and come back for more.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!
